Clarity II was designed with patient comfort in mind. During treatment, you may feel brief heat or a snapping sensation as the laser fires.

Its built-in cryogen cooling system cools the skin during treatment to help improve comfort. Sensation can vary depending on the treatment area and your individual sensitivity.

Temporary redness, swelling or discomfort can occur. Less common risks include burns, pigment changes and scarring. Your provider will explain the risks and aftercare for your skin and treatment area.

For the best treatment experience:

• Shave the treatment area approximately 24 hours before your appointment.
• Arrive with clean skin and no lotions, creams, oils or deodorant on the treatment area.
• Avoid tanning and sunless tanners before your appointment and use sun protection regularly.
• If you’re starting laser hair removal, stop waxing or plucking the area at least four weeks before your first treatment. Shaving is encouraged between treatments instead.
• Let us know about medications, recent tanning or previous skin reactions before treatment.
